Shoygu arrived in China on Sunday to discuss issues with the head of the Chinese foreign ministry. During his comments, he emphasized that the interaction between the two countries is friendly in nature and is actively ongoing.
According to him, "the leaders of our countries maintain the most active dialogue, and therefore it is quite logical that this communication will continue on a regular basis this year," the press service of the Russian Security Council indicated.
The Security Council Secretary also noted that the meetings with Wang Yi were productive. The participants discussed the schedule for future contacts, including high-level meetings.
In addition, the meeting addressed relevant international issues concerning the interests of both Moscow and Beijing, according to the press service's information.
