Trump commented on negotiations with Iran and US plans in the Persian Gulf
Trump noted that U.S. allies in the region do not have a clear understanding of Washington's plans regarding Iran. "We can't tell them about this plan. If I were to disclose it, it would be almost as bad as if I told you, or maybe even worse. But overall, Iran is negotiating with us, and we'll see what comes of it. If not - then we'll see where this leads," he stated.
Additionally, the president reminded about the deployment of additional naval forces to the region. "A large fleet is heading there, larger than the one we had and have off the coast of Venezuela," he added.
Trump also agreed with his allies' view that Iran is constantly seeking negotiations, but it is unclear what goals they are pursuing. "Yes, that's true, they are negotiating. We'll see what comes of it. The last time they negotiated, we had to eliminate their nuclear program, and that didn't work. Then we took a different approach, and now we'll see where this leads," the American leader concluded.
