On January 29, 2026, Sarantogos Erdenetsogt, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada, participated in a lecture organized by the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa, where she discussed the history of Mongolia, its foreign policy, and relations with Canada. This became known through a report from MiddleAsianNews.

More than 120 second-year political science students participated in the online session, where they had the opportunity to ask the ambassador questions about Mongolia.

The students showed active interest in questions regarding Mongolia's partnerships with neighboring countries and those further afield, as well as topics of economic and environmental development.

Sarantogos answered numerous questions from the students, who represent the future of Mongolian-Canadian relations, and shared information about new opportunities for cooperation between the countries. She also invited the students to visit Mongolia.
