Dmitry Peskov
In his statement, Peskov noted that Trump indeed requested Putin to refrain from military actions for a week to create more favorable conditions for negotiations. "Yes, President Trump asked his Russian counterpart not to strike Kyiv until February 1," he mentioned in a conversation with journalists.

When journalists asked whether February 1 is indeed the deadline Trump refers to, Peskov replied: "Until February 1."

The press secretary did not go into detail about whether Putin agrees with this request, nor did he clarify whether it concerns a complete cessation of attacks or just strikes on infrastructure targets.

He added: "I cannot add anything new. I want to emphasize that this is about creating conditions for negotiations."

Recently, Trump also stated that he asked Putin for a temporary halt to shelling Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities due to severe frosts. According to him, Putin agreed to this request, but he did not specify when exactly they reached this agreement.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that there have been no negotiations or agreements between Moscow and Kyiv regarding the suspension of attacks on energy facilities. He also expressed doubt that the continuation of negotiations in the UAE from February 1 is possible, considering the potential threats from the U.S. regarding Iran and the possible escalation of the situation in that region.
