During the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the IDF presented data on the number of casualties, claiming that about 25,000 of the deceased are Hamas terrorists. The Israeli army disputed the information regarding the percentage of civilian casualties stated by the UN. According to the IDF, about 13% of the rockets launched by Hamas fell in the Gaza Strip, resulting in Palestinian casualties due to misfires.

Furthermore, the Israeli army claims that Hamas executed numerous Palestinians whom they considered political opponents, as well as those who attempted to leave the combat zone. The IDF is currently working to determine the exact ratio of civilian casualties to militants, as well as the number of victims killed by Hamas representatives.

According to international organizations and some media outlets, around 450 Palestinians have died from starvation. However, the IDF believes that this data may include inaccurate statistics or individuals suffering from serious illnesses prior to the conflict.

During the war, 112,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were sent to Gaza, including 1.7 million tons of food, as well as 1.8 million tents and tarpaulins. According to the army, 600,000 children in the region have been vaccinated against polio. There are 16 field hospitals operating in Gaza, and during the conflict, 9,600 tons of medical supplies were delivered.

Since October 10, a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas has been in effect. Under this agreement, Hamas released 20 hostages who survived the attack on October 7, 2023, while Israel released about two thousand Palestinians, including those who had been sentenced to long terms for terrorist activities.
