U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning that if Iran does not agree to the nuclear deal, it could lead to military action.
In his message on the Truth Social platform, he expressed hope that Iran would quickly begin negotiations and sign a fair agreement that excludes the presence of nuclear weapons and would be beneficial for all parties involved.
Trump emphasized that time is running out for an agreement, and if Iran does not take steps toward a deal, the next actions of the U.S. will be more powerful than those carried out during Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025, when the U.S. attacked Iranian nuclear facilities.
Additionally, he noted that a "huge armada" has been deployed to the region with the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln on board.
"This fleet is moving with great force and intent. It is larger than the one that was sent to Venezuela," Trump added, noting that the ships are ready to act if necessary.
In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is ready to "immediately and decisively respond to any aggression."
"Our Armed Forces are prepared for immediate action against any aggression directed at our land, air, and sea. The experience gained during the 12-day war allows us to respond faster and more effectively," Araghchi noted.
He also added that Iran has always supported the idea of a "fair and equal" nuclear agreement.
"We advocate for an agreement on equal terms, without intimidation or threats, that ensures Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear technologies and excludes the presence of nuclear weapons. We have never sought to obtain them," the minister concluded.
Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Shamkhani also stated that responsible actions will be directed against both the U.S. and Israel, as well as against all who support aggression.
According to media reports, Trump is considering new options for attacks on Iran.
In particular, CNN and Reuters report that among the possible actions are strikes against Iranian leadership and security forces allegedly responsible for the repression of protesters, as well as strikes against nuclear facilities and government institutions.
Trump believes that he now has more options for striking Iran due to the arrival of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle Eastern region.
In June of last year, the U.S. already used military force against Iranian nuclear facilities during Iran's conflict with Israel. At that time, Trump claimed that the Iranian nuclear program had been destroyed.
In January, Iran experienced major anti-government protests. Trump then threatened to use force in response to the suppression of protests but later changed his decision, urging protesters to continue their struggle and promising that "help is on the way."
