The report also states that in middle school, 15% of girls and 12% of boys have experienced at least one form of sexual violence. “These cases are not isolated; they affect all students, regardless of gender and age, in both public and private educational institutions,” the report emphasizes. “Sexual violence begins to manifest in elementary school, intensifies during adolescence, and has the most noticeable impact on girls as they grow older and advance in their education.”
In response to these alarming statistics, several members of the French parliament have initiated a bill that calls for urgent measures to combat violence in educational institutions.
