The agency emphasized the need to tighten control over discipline and educational work, as well as to ensure compliance with safety measures when handling weapons and during training sessions. Commissions were sent to all military units for a reassessment of the psychological state of the soldiers.

Additionally, the Ministry of Defense increased the responsibility of commanders and sergeants, organized inspections involving military police, and introduced round-the-clock monitoring of personnel, including off-duty hours.

Furthermore, a permanent video connection for soldiers with their families was established, and commanders are required to maintain regular contact with parents through official channels.

As a result of the investigations conducted, disciplinary action was taken against the commander of the Regional Command "East," his deputy for educational and ideological work, and the chief of staff. Moreover, the commander of the unit, his deputy, and the battalion commander where the soldier's death occurred were relieved of their duties, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

The agency expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and noted that the command of the Armed Forces understands its responsibility for the safety of servicemen.

The issue of soldier deaths in the Kazakh army remains relevant. This has been repeatedly pointed out by both public activists and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Last summer, he instructed Defense Minister Dauren Kasanov to strengthen measures to reduce the number of tragic incidents in the army. However, despite these efforts, the number of incidents has not decreased. In January of this year, three deaths were reported: on January 23, a conscript soldier was shot while on guard duty in Ust-Kamenogorsk, on January 27, another conscript soldier was fatally injured while handling a weapon in the Zhambyl region, and on January 6, a serviceman of the National Guard of Kazakhstan died of sudden cardiac arrest in Shymkent.
