Previously, footage appeared online in which Valuyev allegedly suggests that Russia use the "carrot and stick" method in its relations with the former republics of the Soviet Union.
“This issue is related to artificial intelligence. People use it to distort what has been said or, worse, to create fake materials from scratch. Why is this done? The answer is simple. In the modern world, the internet has become not only a source of information but also a place for manipulation. Properly presented information with a visual component is aimed at perception, and this requires preparation. AI plays an important role in this process. Today, technology allows films to be made without human involvement, and this is no longer news. Now it is accessible to almost everyone,” Valuyev commented on the situation.
He also emphasized that such video materials created with the help of AI are intended to manipulate “inexperienced users.”
“These technologies are at the disposal of entire states and are constantly evolving. Therefore, it is important not to fall for manipulation. Remember that the loudest cries come from thieves when they are caught. It is better to thoroughly verify information before spreading it and especially not to trust unverified sources,” added the State Duma deputy.
