At the session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, the plans of TURKPA for international cooperation were announced.
At the event, Ramil Hasan presented a report on the work of TURKPA and current projects, emphasizing efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation with the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. He reminded that since 2017, TURKPA has had observer status in this assembly.
In his speech, the Secretary General highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a tool that complements international diplomacy in promoting peace, stability, and conflict resolution. He also noted that joint actions by parliamentarians contribute to the development of cooperation based on common interests both in Asia and on the global stage, ensuring security.
Hasan emphasized the interaction of parliamentarians from TURKPA member states, such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey, which is built on the principles of respect and mutual understanding. He pointed out that Turkic states adhere to a policy of tolerance towards all religions and peoples, highlighting the significance of initiatives that TURKPA implements in this context.
Furthermore, the Secretary General shared information about TURKPA's plans and confirmed the readiness to develop cooperation with the Asian Parliamentary Assembly at a new level.
