President of the United States Donald Trump announced an increase in tariffs on goods from South Korea from 15% to 25%. He explained this decision by the South Korean parliament's delay in ratifying the trade agreement with the United States, as reported by news agencies.
“I am raising tariffs on South Korean cars, lumber, pharmaceuticals, and other goods subject to reciprocal tariffs from 15% to 25% because the Korean parliament has not ratified our historic trade agreement, which is its prerogative,” Trump wrote on his platform Truth Social.
