Earlier, Reuters reported that the American aircraft carrier group and fighter jets are expected to arrive in the Middle East in the coming days. It was mentioned that amid rising tensions, the number of American troops in the region is increasing, and the troop deployment may be related to defensive measures.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is heading to the region, along with F-15E Strike Eagle bombers. Additional air and missile defense systems, such as Patriot and THAAD, are also expected to be deployed.
As reported by The Jerusalem Post, the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is accompanied by the destroyers USS Spruance and USS Michael Murphy.
