In Minnesota, Governor Tim Walz announced on Saturday that there was "another horrific incident" involving gunfire in Minneapolis. This occurred just three weeks after the tragic death of Renaud Good. This information was reported in an article published on the Euronews website.

An unverified video has surfaced online, capturing the events of street riots, including the sounds of gunfire and a person in a vest marked "Police" who was in close proximity to the scene.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security released an official statement detailing the incident. The event took place at 9:05 AM Central Time, when agents from the department were conducting an operation against an illegal immigrant wanted for a violent crime. At that moment, a person approached the border patrol with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Attempts by the officers to disarm him were unsuccessful, and the suspect resisted violently.

Considering the threat to both their lives and those of their colleagues, one of the agents opened fire in self-defense. Despite the prompt assistance of medical personnel, the victim died at the scene. He also had two magazines in his possession, and he did not have any identification.

After the incident, about 200 people arrived at the scene, interfering with police operations and attacking law enforcement officers. Crowd control measures were implemented to ensure the safety of both citizens and law enforcement personnel, according to information from the Department of Homeland Security.

Just a day before this, in Minneapolis, despite the 20-degree frost, thousands of people took to the streets to protest against the immigration policy of President Donald Trump's administration after immigration police detained a 5-year-old child and his father.
