The first day of trilateral negotiations between Russia, the USA, and Ukraine has concluded in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, according to the publication "Ukrainian Truth," was deemed "productive," and the participants agreed to continue discussions the following day.

According to a statement by Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the negotiations began in Abu Dhabi and are scheduled to last for two days — January 23 and 24.

As reported by publications such as DW and TASS, the negotiations were held in a "maximally closed" format. The location of the meeting is not disclosed, and press presence is not anticipated. A source mentioned that confidentiality was maintained on Thursday evening, with no rumors about the negotiations circulating in major hotels, and no increased security measures observed at the hotels and presidential palace.

Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, announced the trilateral meeting earlier on Thursday, hoping for its successful conclusion, which could lead to an end to the conflict.

Additionally, Donald Trump, the President of the USA, noted at the World Economic Forum in Davos that Vladimir Putin and Zelensky are ready to make a deal to resolve the conflict.

According to the Axios portal, one of the key topics discussed at the meeting of the trilateral working group may be the issue of territorial disputes in the context of security.
