According to Reuters, Amazon, one of the leading online retailers in the world, may announce a new round of layoffs as early as next week. Sources familiar with the situation claim that the company intends to cut about 30,000 corporate employees.
Recall that in October, it became known about Amazon's plans to conduct the largest wave of layoffs in three years, during which the company announced the reduction of 14,000 employees to optimize business processes.
Now, it is expected that the total number of layoffs will be comparable to the previous year, and the first phase of layoffs may start as early as Tuesday, according to unnamed sources.
Amazon, founded in 1995, continues its operations not only in the USA but also in countries such as Canada, China, Brazil, Japan, and throughout Europe.
