Trump and Zandanšatar Signed an Agreement on Mongolia's Membership in the Council of the World
Trump made his statements at the moment when an agreement was signed to establish the Council of Peace, to which about 20 countries, including Mongolia, are already ready to join. This information was provided by the agency MiddleAsianNews.
“I congratulate Prime Minister Zandan Shatar and express gratitude to Mongolia for participating in the establishment of the Council of Peace. Under President Trump's leadership, this event will be a significant step towards peace in Gaza,” wrote the U.S. Ambassador to Ulaanbaatar, Richard Buangan, on the social network X.
According to information from Bloomberg, each country will hold a seat on the council for a term of three years; however, Trump plans to offer permanent membership for $1 billion. These funds are intended to be used for the reconstruction of Gaza.
Important decisions in the council will be made by its chairman, who will be Donald Trump. He will approve decisions, although they must be passed by a majority vote. Such votes are planned to be held at least once a year.
Trump emphasized that the Council of Peace should become an authoritative body that can achieve what the UN has failed to do, and although it will cooperate with the UN, in his opinion, it may even take its place.
