According to information provided by Interfax, there has been a 0.12% increase in consumer prices for gasoline in Russia from January 13 to January 19, as reported by Rosstat. In the previous reporting period, from January 1 to January 12, the increase was 1.18%. Previously, for almost two months, gasoline prices had been on the decline. For instance, from December 16 to December 22, they fell by 0.08%, from December 9 to December 15 by 0.09%, from December 2 to December 8 by 0.18%, from November 25 to December 1 by 0.26%, and from November 18 to November 24 by 0.22%. From November 11 to November 17, the decrease was 0.22%.
As of January 19, gasoline prices have increased by 1.3% since the beginning of the year, while overall inflation during the same period was 1.72%.
On January 19, the average price of a liter of gasoline in the country reached 65.47 rubles, slightly higher compared to 65.39 rubles on January 12. A liter of AI-92 was priced at 62.13 rubles (62.4 rubles on January 12), AI-95 at 67.58 rubles (67.5 rubles), and AI-98 at 90.64 rubles (90.45 rubles).
At the same time, diesel fuel (DT) prices increased by 0.11% from January 13 to January 19. In the previous period, from January 1 to January 12, there was a 1.3% increase. Diesel prices had also risen earlier: by 0.09% from December 16 to December 22, by 0.22% from December 9 to December 15, by 0.14% from December 2 to December 8, by 0.35% from November 25 to December 1, and by 0.52% from November 18 to November 24, as well as by 0.3% from November 11 to November 17. Since the beginning of the year, DT prices have increased by 1.41%.
As of January 19, the average cost of diesel fuel in Russia was 77.02 rubles per liter, slightly higher than 76.94 rubles on January 12.
In 2025, the increase in gasoline prices in Russia was 10.78%, nearly double the overall inflation rate of 5.59%. In 2024, prices rose by 11.13%, which is also slightly above the overall inflation for the year, which was 9.52%.
