On the evening of January 21, another charter flight landed in Tashkent, bringing back citizens of Uzbekistan who were subjected to deportation from the USA.
Ahror Burkhanov, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported that 44 citizens who were illegally in the USA returned to their homeland.
He noted that the flight was organized in cooperation with the relevant American authorities for the "safe and timely delivery" of Uzbek citizens.
“We continue to work in the area of protecting the rights of our citizens abroad, ensuring their safety, and facilitating their return home,” he added.
According to aviation services, the flight was operated by a Boeing 767−300 of the charter airline Omni Air International, which also conducted a deportation on October 10.
The plane departed on January 20 at 6:50 local time (18:50 Tashkent time) from El Paso, Texas, which is located on the border with Mexico. At 12:30 (22:30 Tashkent time), it landed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on the east coast of the USA.
After that, it took off at 14:43 and arrived in Bucharest, Romania, at 5:33 (8:33) on January 21. Then, at 9:43, it left Bucharest and landed at 13:39 (14:39) at Zvartnots Airport near Yerevan, Armenia. At 15:39 (16:39), the plane departed for Tashkent, where it successfully landed at 19:21.
