- It was expected that the World Economic Forum in Davos this week would announce the agreement on a $800 billion recovery plan for Ukraine involving Europe and the USA, but this event was postponed due to discussions concerning Greenland.
- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized during a panel discussion in Davos: "The main issue now is not Greenland, but Ukraine."
- On Thursday, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and former President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet in Moscow with Vladimir Putin. On the same day, a meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled in Davos.
- Putin stated that Russia could use frozen assets in the USA as an entry fee for the "Peace Council" proposed by Trump.
- Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, who heads the Ukrainian delegation at peace negotiations, met with U.S. representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff in Davos.
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the port of Taman in the Krasnodar region, resulting in a fire at the terminals where four fuel tanks caught fire. As a result of this incident, two port workers died, and several others were injured.
- The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that as a result of nighttime attacks, electricity supply was cut off in the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
- The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has imposed an arrest on property seized during a search of the office of the "Batkivshchyna" party in connection with a case of bribery of deputies, as well as on the property of Yulia Tymoshenko's husband - two garages and three cars.
- The French company Renault signed an agreement with Turgis Gaillard for the production of drones for the needs of Ukraine.
- The German federal prosecutor's office reported the detention of three individuals on suspicion of espionage in favor of Russia and related crimes.
