Trump stated that the U.S. has "amazing" weapons that no one knows about
The program host asked Trump about reports of the alleged use of sonic weapons, to which he replied: "We have weapons that no one knows about. It's probably better not to talk about it, but it is truly impressive."
According to reports from Venezuelan media, unusual events were recorded during the operation: first, air defense radars stopped functioning, after which drones and helicopters appeared in the sky. A source claims that the situation resembled not combat actions, but the effect of a powerful sound wave that caused people to feel unwell and fall to the ground.
It is worth noting that in December 2025, the U.S. conducted an operation against Venezuela, resulting in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife in Caracas. It was later revealed that they were taken to a detention center in Brooklyn.
Discussing this operation, Trump reminded of the Monroe Doctrine, which proclaims the American continent as a zone free from interference by other states, and threatened "all enemies of the U.S." with similar actions.
Recently, the first court hearing in Maduro's case took place in New York, where he faces up to four life sentences for conspiracy related to drug terrorism, cocaine smuggling, as well as possession of firearms and explosives and for attempting to use them against the U.S.
At the trial, Maduro declared his innocence, claiming that he "is still the president of Venezuela." His wife also declared her innocence. The next hearing is scheduled for March 17, and the judge allowed the presence of consular officials. The politician's defense plans to file a motion for bail.
