If necessary, in the harsh winter conditions, humanitarian aid will be strengthened
At a recent meeting of the "Humanitarian Group," organized under the leadership of the Secretary of the State Emergency Commission and the UN Resident Coordinator, representatives of the UN and the Mongolian Red Cross discussed current weather conditions, weather forecasts, and potential risks of dzud that may arise during the winter and spring periods.
Meeting participants emphasized the importance of timely and accurate information for organizing effective humanitarian assistance. The UN Resident Coordinator noted that since autumn, the authorities and the humanitarian group have implemented a series of measures for early warning and risk reduction.
At the next meeting, the State Emergency Commission and relevant organizations will provide participants with up-to-date information on the current situation, while humanitarian partners will exchange plans for further actions.
