The Prime Minister of Greenland allowed for a military invasion by the USA on the island

Jens-Frederik Nielsen
The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, commenting on the threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump, called on residents and local authorities to prepare for a possible military invasion, although such a scenario seems unlikely. At a press conference in Nuuk, he emphasized: “Although the use of force is unlikely to occur, it cannot be completely ruled out. This has been clearly indicated by the other side.” His words were reflected in materials from Bloomberg and AFP.

Nielsen noted that Greenland must be ready for any unexpected developments, reminding that the island is part of NATO and any escalations could have global consequences.
Greenland operates as an autonomous territory of Denmark.
Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed U.S. interest in this region, justifying his claims with concerns about national security. In response, the authorities of Greenland have emphasized that the island is not interested in joining the USA.

The White House not only proposed to buy Greenland but also hinted at the possibility of using force if necessary.

Additionally, Trump announced the introduction of tariffs against European countries that do not support American claims to the island.

The next stage of discussions regarding the situation around Greenland is scheduled for a forum in Davos.
