In the U.S., a snowstorm caused a multi-vehicle accident on the highway involving over 100 cars, with injuries reported.
As a result of the accident, several people were injured; however, there is currently no information about fatalities. According to law enforcement, due to the large number of vehicles, traffic on the interstate highway was completely halted.
Rescue services were actively working at the scene, helping to clear the road and evacuate more than 30 trucks with trailers.
This accident occurred against the backdrop of a powerful winter storm that affected vast areas of the country. The National Weather Service issued a warning about adverse weather conditions, including severe cold and winter storms, in several states such as northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Snowfalls and slippery roads have already caused numerous accidents in this region, posing a danger to drivers and complicating movement on key transportation routes.
Meteorologists warn that the storm will move south and east across the country and strongly advise drivers to avoid travel if possible.
