In recent months, actor Matthew McConaughey has registered eight trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This decision is aimed at protecting his appearance and voice from being used in content created by artificial intelligence, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Among the registered images is a shot of the actor standing on a porch, as well as a three-second video clip of him sitting next to a Christmas tree. Also protected is the audio recording of his famous phrase "Alright, alright, alright" from the cult film "Dazed and Confused" released in 1993.

Recently, McConaughey granted permission to the company ElevenLabs to use his voice for news narration in Spanish. It is worth noting that the actor is an investor in this company.
