Chairman of the Kirov Friendship Group Receives Mongolian Delegation at the National Assembly

The delegation also included key figures such as Tserenpil Davaasuren, Chairman of the Permanent Budget Committee, who previously served as the Minister of Energy of Mongolia from 2017 to 2020, and in 2023-2024 as the Minister of Construction and Urban Development. Additionally, the delegation included Bayarbaatar Bayarmagnai, Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Ethics and Parliamentary Procedures, Altangerel Oyunsaikhan, Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs, and Erdenebat Sukhbatar, Chairman of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU), who previously led trade unions in the transport and oil extraction sectors. During the discussions, the parties emphasized the importance of deepening inter-parliamentary dialogue and exchanging experiences in the work of permanent committees and the legislative process. Rositsa Kirova informed the Mongolian guests about the structure and activities of the National Assembly. “Cooperation between our parliaments goes beyond formal meetings. It is a dynamic process of mutual learning that encompasses all aspects—from discussing laws to respecting diverse opinions. Sustainable solutions arise precisely from such exchanges,” Kirova noted. Among the topics discussed was Bulgaria's energy independence, including issues related to diversifying energy sources and measures taken by the government to reduce dependence on external supplies. Additionally, the conversation touched on combating fake news and the influence of social media, as well as cooperation with professional organizations to maintain public order. The Mongolian participants emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a bridge between the institutions and societies of both countries.
