An emergency situation occurred at the observation platform near Kohtla-Järve, where ice blocks from the frozen Valaste waterfall fell on tourists, including children.

In a video published by the media, large ice chunks can be seen falling from a height directly onto the part of the platform where people were located. Fortunately, the tourists reacted quickly and managed to leave the dangerous area. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

The frozen Valaste waterfall, which reaches a height of 30.5 meters, is the highest waterfall not only in Estonia but also in the entire Baltic region.
