As part of this project, it is planned to produce ten missiles per month, each costing up to £800,000 (approximately $1.1 million). The UK Defense Minister, John Healey, noted: "We intend to provide Ukrainians with modern weapons to fight the Russian army."
The UK Ministry of Defense plans to sign contracts worth £9 million ($12.1 million) with three industrial groups for the development of the missile. The first prototypes are expected to be ready for testing within a year. The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the competition is set for February 9, and contract awards are expected in March.
