Google removed some health reviews created by AI

Recent actions by Google have drawn attention after the company removed some medical reviews created using artificial intelligence. These measures were taken following the publication of an investigation by the Guardian, which revealed that some materials contained misleading health information that posed a danger to people, reports RIA Novosti.

According to the publication, in early January, the Guardian reported that reviews created by Google's AI included false and misleading advice, putting people at risk.

In one such review, incorrect advice was given to people suffering from pancreatic cancer, suggesting they avoid high-fat foods. Experts noted that this recommendation contradicts medical standards and could even worsen the situation for patients with this condition. Additionally, Google's AI provided incorrect information about important liver tests, which could lead people with severe liver diseases to mistakenly believe they were healthy.
