Mao Ning, the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China and that issues related to Taiwan are exclusively internal affairs of the country. This information was stated during a press briefing where she commented on recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, as reported by "Xinhua".

Mao Ning emphasized that "the resolution of issues related to Taiwan must be in the hands of the Chinese people, and external interference is inappropriate here".

Earlier, in an interview with The New York Times, Donald Trump expressed the opinion that Chinese President Xi Jinping would not resort to force regarding Taiwan while he remains in office. Trump also added that the final decision on the Taiwan issue will remain with China; however, he warned Beijing that the use of force could provoke serious discontent from Washington.

Chinese authorities have repeatedly emphasized that Taiwan is considered an inseparable part of the country, and adherence to the "One China" principle is a necessary condition for countries seeking to establish or maintain diplomatic relations with China.
