A rare planetary parade will be visible to Earth's inhabitants on January 22.
It is reported that by the specified date, three planets and the Sun will form almost a perfect rhombus or cross in the sky, with a side length of about 2-3 degrees. However, after this moment, the alignment will begin to fade.
Initially, at the end of January, Mercury will start to move away from the Sun, followed by Venus and Mars throughout February.
Scientists noted that the next significant approach of all three planets near the Sun will occur only in September 2038, and it will be much more diffuse, covering up to 10 degrees. Thus, the event on January 22 represents a unique phenomenon, at least in this century, astronomers emphasize.
