Israel carried out airstrikes on Lebanon

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), 27 airstrikes were carried out on Lebanon. In a press release, the IDF stated that the attacks targeted sites associated with the terrorist group "Hezbollah" in response to their "ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreements."

The IDF also reported the destruction of several launchers, missile systems, and military facilities.

IDF representatives emphasized that Hezbollah's actions to restore these facilities violate agreements with Israel and pose a threat to its security.

It is worth noting that in November 2024, a ceasefire was reached between Israel and Hezbollah, under which the group committed to not restoring infrastructure that could be used for attacks on Israel. By the end of 2025, Hezbollah was supposed to transfer its weapons to the Lebanese authorities; otherwise, Israel threatened to resume full-scale military actions against the group in Lebanon.
