ABC: The USA demanded that Venezuela sever ties with Russia, China, Iran, and Cuba.

According to Senator Roger Wicker, this plan involves controlling Venezuelan oil tankers, which are currently fully loaded. He noted that Caracas has only a few weeks left to avoid a financial crisis if exports are not restored.
“We do not plan to deploy troops on Venezuelan territory... This is not part of our intentions,” he stated. Instead, the strategy includes a naval blockade and economic pressure.
Trump has already stated that the interim authorities of Venezuela could transfer between 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the USA for sale, and the proceeds from this trade would be controlled by Washington “in the interests of the people of Venezuela and the USA.”
