A recent working visit to the "Biocombinat" enterprise and the State Laboratory for Testing and Certification of Veterinary Drugs was made by high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, Badamsuren Myagmarsuren. This was reported by the ministry headed by him.

At the "Biocombinat," a wide range of veterinary drugs is produced, including 44 types of liquid vaccines, 21 types of dry vaccines, 20 diagnostic agents, and three types of diluents.

Last year, with the support of the World Bank and thanks to a concessional investment loan, two projects were successfully implemented: the automation of liquid vaccine packaging and the introduction of vaccine production technology on linear cells, which contributed to the modernization of production processes.

In the future, a comprehensive technical modernization of the dry vaccine production workshop is planned, for which financing of 3.5 billion soms will be required.

The State Laboratory engaged in the testing and certification of veterinary drugs successfully passed accreditation according to three international standards last year.

During the reporting period, the laboratory conducted tests and analyses of 769 batches of various veterinary drugs, biopreparations, and feed additives (419 items from 72 enterprises), following which the relevant certificates were issued.

Laboratory staff emphasized the need to reconsider the decision to merge it with the State Central Veterinary and Sanitary Laboratory. They also discussed important issues such as supporting qualified personnel and including costs for expensive standard substances in the state budget.

The Minister instructed to improve coordination between institutions, develop detailed business development plans, ensure targeted use of the approved annual budget and other resources for the implementation of technological innovations, and strictly adhere to procedures for the storage and transportation of vaccines until their delivery to pastures.

Badamsuren also highlighted attracting funding as a key priority for the ministry, noting its critical importance for ensuring vaccination, animal health, and food safety, as well as the successful export of meat products.
