Mongolian Riders to Participate in the Dakar Rally 2026

Mongolia will be represented by these two athletes: Erdenebileg Khaliunbold and Muren Purevdorj.

On the first day of the race, participants covered 527 km, of which 305 km were special sections. This section was diverse: the racers encountered rocky, sandy, and dirt sections. In particular, about 70% of the entire route was on gravel roads, 16% on sandy roads, 8% on rocky roads, and 4% through dunes.

Khaliunbold Erdenebileg, competing for Mongolia, finished in 33rd place among 120 participants and took 20th place in the "Rally 2" category, covering the distance of 305 km in 3 hours, 51 minutes, and 45 seconds.

At the same time, his compatriot Muren Purevdorj found himself in 50th place overall and 35th in the "Rally 2" category.

The next day, January 5, the race will continue deeper into the Arabian Peninsula, heading towards the bivouac in Al-Ula.
