The football club "Toktogul," representing the city of the same name, has decided to dismiss its head coach Sergey Puchkov, a specialist from Ukraine.
The start of the season for the team was promising: "Toktogul" won at home against "Ilbirs" with a score of 3:2. However, subsequent matches turned into failures for the club as it lost twice: first to the reigning champion "Bars" (1:2), and then to the vice-champion "Muras United" (0:1).
In the fourth round, "Toktogul" faced the outsider "Neftchi" and suffered a crushing defeat with a score of 0:3, which led to the team's drop in the standings.
Along with Puchkov, his assistant Igor Pokarinin also left the team.
For Sergey Puchkov, this dismissal has already been the third in the past year in Kyrgyzstan. In February 2025, he was fired from the youth national team (U-20) after an unsuccessful performance at the Asian Cup, and at the end of the same year, he was also dismissed from "Muras United."
