The Kyrgyzstan national football team suffered a defeat in the match against Equatorial Guinea.

This friendly match, which was the first for the new head coach Robert Prosinečki from Croatia, took place on March 25 at the Mardan Stadium in Antalya (Turkey).

In the first half, the Kyrgyzstan team looked more active in their attacks, but they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Arlen Beksulov failed to finish an attack from a favorable position, and Kairat Zhyrgalbek uulu's shot to the near corner was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 38th minute, Kyrgyzstan defender Said Datsiev made a mistake, allowing the opponent to get past him in the penalty area and then brought him down. The referee awarded a penalty, which was successfully converted by the fouled player himself — 1:0.

In the second half, the Kyrgyzstan team continued to try to attack, but they could not save the match. In the 65th minute, captain Valery Kichin shot from close range, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Thus, the final score of the match was 1:0 in favor of the African team.

On March 28, the Kyrgyzstan team will again take the field in Turkey, playing against the Madagascar national team.
