Conor McGregor, the famous Irish fighter, has not competed in the octagon for almost four years, with his last appearance in the ring in July 2021. However, he is hopeful for a return to fighting this summer. Initially, it was expected that his next fight would take place on June 14, but the fighter himself noted that his return might be postponed until the International Fight Week in July.
McGregor stated that negotiations with promoters are ongoing, and a final decision regarding the date and location of his bout has not yet been made.
It is worth reminding that one of the potential opponents for Conor is American Michael Chandler, with whom he was supposed to meet after participating in the reality show The Ultimate Fighter.
UFC President Dana White confirmed that McGregor is being considered as a potential participant in the tournament. It is also expected that the main event of the evening will feature a fight between heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is negotiating a bout with light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.
The full card for the tournament will be announced soon.
