In the city of Osh, a deputy compared the budgets of football players and boxers
Beksultan Usenov, a deputy from the "Bir Bol" faction, asked the club's director, Mirlan Bakirov, about the feasibility of the budget increase. "In 2018, you spent 18 million soms, and this year it's already 50 million soms. What are the results of your work with such an increase in funding?" the deputy inquired.
The club director acknowledged that the last seasons had been unsuccessful: in 2024, the team placed 4th, and in 2025, 5th.
Usenov also cited the boxing school, which, despite a modest budget of 5 million soms, managed to achieve significant success, including a silver medal at the Olympic Games. "In comparison, the budget of FC 'Alaï' seems excessive and requires careful scrutiny," he noted.
The first deputy mayor of Osh, Omobek Torobaev, reported that this issue had been discussed in the relevant committee and assured the deputies that the situation would be thoroughly analyzed in terms of the club's financial efficiency.
