The budget of the football club "Alaï" is set to increase: How the 150 million soms will be allocated
According to information provided by the city administration, the Akhmatbek Suymbaev Stadium and the FC "Alaï" will receive 150 million soms in subsidies. This is 35 million soms more compared to the previous year when the budget for the stadium and the club amounted to 115 million soms.
The club's director, Mirlan Bakirov, explained the reasons for the increase in funding and the intended areas of expenditure.
“In our country, there are only 60 football players who can compete in the Premier League. With 16 teams in the championship, the distribution of these 60 players leads to a shortage, which, in turn, increases the demand for Kyrgyz footballers and their salaries. Additionally, the salaries of legionnaires have also increased,” he noted.
Bakirov added that the allocated funds will be used not only for player salaries but also for maintaining the field, supporting youth players, and implementing the VAR system at the stadium.
“The decision to install the VAR system at all stadiums has already been made. Its installation will cost between 6 to 8 million soms. The fees for participation in the Premier League have also increased: last year they were 2.5 million soms, this year they have risen to 4 million, and next year they will reach 8 million soms. Our stadium has a hybrid pitch, so its condition requires constant monitoring. Moreover, players travel by plane for games in other cities, and the prices for air tickets have also increased,” he added.
