Talant Duyshebaev appointed head coach of the French national handball team

A native of Kyrgyzstan, Talant Duyshebaev has been appointed as the head coach of the French national handball team.

His plans include preparing the team for the qualifying matches for the World Championship against the Czech Republic, which will take place on May 13 and 17.

Duyshebaev will also continue to work with the Polish club "Kielce," balancing both roles.

Previously, he led the national teams of Hungary from 2014 to 2016 and Poland from 2016 to 2017.

Under his guidance, the Polish national team reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Rio, where they lost to the future Olympic champions by a narrow margin of 27:28, finishing in 4th place in the final ranking.

The French national handball team boasts three Olympic titles (2008, 2012, 2020), six world championship titles (1995, 2001, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2017), and four European championship titles (2006, 2010, 2014, 2024).
