The new bill officially recognizes deaflympic sports as a separate direction, alongside the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
This innovation will create a legal basis for funding deaflympic sports, support the national team's participation in international competitions, and ensure the payment of one-time rewards for achievements, including successes at the Deaflympic Games and continental championships.
Additionally, the draft includes provisions regarding the accreditation of republican federations for sports. The authorized state body in the field of physical culture and sports will be responsible for establishing the procedure and conditions for accreditation, which should strengthen control over federations receiving budget funding and forming national teams.
Changes concerning the safety of spectators at sporting events are also provided. The rules will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and will be related to preparations for holding major international events, including the VI World Nomad Games in 2026.
The bill also stipulates that the time spent by an athlete as part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan will be counted towards their work experience in the field of physical culture and sports.
This will allow athletes, after completing their careers, to officially be employed as coaches and receive seniority bonuses without losing the years spent on the team.
The explanatory note states that the project will not require additional expenses from the republican budget and will not create negative social or legal consequences. The document has undergone public discussion on a unified portal without any comments or suggestions.
