The athlete ran a distance of 470 to 480 kilometers in 98 hours and 27 minutes. She faced difficulties while crossing five Himalayan passes and climbing to an altitude exceeding 8.5 kilometers.
“My initial goal was to finish the run in 100 hours. I completed it in 98 hours and 27 minutes. The record certificate, although approved in 2023, took a long time to reach my home through Indian delivery services and customs,” Sufi shared on social media.
The route of the run is considered one of the most challenging for long distances due to extreme altitude, changing weather conditions, and low oxygen levels.
Previously, Sufiya had already set records, becoming the fastest woman on the route from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and she also successfully completed the Golden Quadrilateral Run, which spans over 6,000 kilometers.
