In the Jayil district of the Chui region, in the village of Sosnovka, freestyle wrestling coach Baktybek Kalmatovich Abdyrazakov received an unusual reward for his dedication to the cause — his students and their parents organized a gift for him in the form of a car and a trip to another country.

This idea arose among the local residents. In a short time, former and current students, their parents, and simply concerned locals came together to raise funds for the gift. As a result, a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was purchased, along with a set of winter tires, a polishing certificate, and a trip to Antalya for two — for the coach and his wife Nazira.

The car received a symbolic license plate: 079, which corresponds to the year of the coach's birth, and the letters ABK — his initials.

“I was planning to take out a loan…” — shares Baktybek Abdyrazakov. He recently renewed his driver's license but did not have the opportunity to buy a car.

“I work as a coach, and my wife is a nurse. Our income is not enough for significant purchases. I had already inquired about loan conditions at banks. Perhaps my students found out about this… and decided to do everything for me,” he added.
Nazira, the coach's wife, has always participated in team gatherings, preparing food for the athletes and helping in the role of a nurse. The students did not forget about her: in April, they will go on a week-long trip to Turkey.

Baktybek Abdyrazakov, born in 1979 in Sosnovka, came to sports thanks to his father. After graduating from the physical education institute with a degree in "coaching and teaching," he returned to his native village to work.

He started from scratch: initially, the wrestling hall was located in a small room measuring 4 by 5 meters, situated in an old kindergarten. Training sessions were held in turns, divided by age groups. In 2008, local residents helped transform a former cafeteria into a full-fledged hall, which was renovated and equipped. In 2018, new mats were purchased for the hall, and the premises were insulated.

Today, Baktybek holds the position of senior coach in the wrestling hall and is also a physical education teacher at the local school, where more than 1,850 children study. During his time working, he has trained at least a thousand students, among whom are republic champions, members of the Kyrgyzstan national team, and masters of sports. One of his students is multiple national champion Adilet Anarbekov, who now lives and works in the USA.

However, the coach himself believes that the true value is not in the medals.

“My main reward is not the titles. What matters is that I was able to instill a love for sports and a healthy lifestyle in the children. We still keep in touch. This gift has become a source of inspiration and confidence for me that my efforts were not in vain,” he noted.

According to Nurzhan Suimonaliev, director of the Jayil district sports school, this is the most significant gift that a coach has received from his grateful students in his practice.
