The Muhamet Malo tournament, the second of its kind in 2026, will be held from February 25 to March 1 in the capital of the country — Tirana.
The athlete from Kyrgyzstan will compete in the weight category up to 82 kg.
Recently, on February 13, Makhmudov achieved victory at the SUPER 4 WRESTLING tournament, winning against Bulgarian wrestler Aik Mnatsakanyan with a score of 5:2.
This tournament in Albania will be only Makhmudov's second appearance as part of the national team after his successful participation in the Olympic Games in Paris, where he won a bronze medal.
Previously, in November 2025, the Kyrgyz athlete won a gold medal at the Islamic Games held in Saudi Arabia.
