Valeria Minadirova won the race in Almaty

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Valeria Minadirova won the international race held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

On February 15, as part of the annual Winter Run competition, 2500 participants took to the start line, including nine athletes from Kyrgyzstan.

Children under 15 ran a distance of 3 km along one of the main streets of Almaty.

Valeria, who is only 11 years old, finished first among girls, showing an impressive time of 12 minutes and 9 seconds. In the overall standings, she took second place, finishing less than 8 seconds behind Kazakhstani athlete Alimzhan Abdiakadirov.

Valeria trains at the Jumanazarov Sports School under the guidance of renowned Kyrgyz coach Rimma Borisova.

In the summer of 2025, she became the winner of the Summer Relay race in Almaty.

In the 10 km distance among adult athletes, Ruslan Minadirov took 7th place in the overall standings and 3rd place in the age category of 30-39 years.
