Anthony Joshua, the renowned British heavyweight, decided to get a tattoo in memory of his friends, Sine Gami and Latife "Latz" Ayodele, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Nigeria last December.
During the incident, Joshua was in the car and received medical assistance. On his arm, he now has the names "LATZ" and "SINA" depicted beneath the outline of Africa, which had already been tattooed on his right bicep.
The boxer described his friends as "brothers, companions, business partners, and neighbors" and promised to support their families and help fulfill their dreams.
Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, stated that it is still unclear whether the boxer will return to professional fights. Nevertheless, Joshua continues to train, primarily for recovery and to strengthen his mental resilience after the incident.
This tattoo has become a symbol of his dedication and memory of his friends for one of the most famous boxers in the heavyweight category.
