




In Bishkek, on January 12, a press conference was held dedicated to the international tournament Super 4 Wrestling (S4W), according to the city hall's information.
At the event, athletes underwent official weigh-ins corresponding to their weight categories and conducted traditional "stare-downs" before the upcoming matches.
Among the participants of the press conference were the General Director of USP and the initiator of the Super 4 Wrestling project, Kazimir Bayramukov, the Vice President of the Wrestling Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ulan Sultanov, and the Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Bishkek City Hall, Kanybek Zholchubekov.
Ulan Sultanov emphasized the importance of holding an international tournament for Kyrgyzstan, noting that wrestling occupies a special place in the country's sports culture and attracts many spectators.
Kanybek Zholchubekov added that Bishkek actively supports the development of sports and is ready to assist in the implementation of major sports projects.
Kazimir Bayramukov also noted that Kyrgyzstan became the first country to host this tournament due to its high organization, modern infrastructure, and active support from the government and local authorities. The prize fund of the tournament exceeds 300 thousand US dollars. The Super 4 format involves the participation of four world-class wrestlers in one weight category competing for the championship belt.
The tournament will take place at the "Zhashtyk" arena and will gather the best wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Japan, the USA, and Bulgaria.
