Serena Williams criticized for weight loss drug advertisement

A recent promotional video released by the telemedicine company Ro ahead of the Super Bowl featured the 44-year-old athlete in a revealing outfit with a syringe containing the GLP-1 drug, intended for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. In the clip, Williams claims that this drug helped her not only lose weight but also lower her cholesterol levels.

However, social media users reacted sharply negatively to the advertisement, describing it as "sad," "horrible," and "disgusting." Critics express doubts about the ethics of promoting prescription weight loss medications, especially from a professional athlete who has been actively involved in sports throughout her career.
