A representative of the Saudi Pro League commented on the dissatisfaction of Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo regarding the lack of new players in the team during the recent transfer window. It was previously reported that for this reason, the Portuguese is considering boycotting Al-Nassr matches and possibly leaving the club in the summer.

“The Saudi Professional League is based on the principle that each club is managed independently within the same rules. Clubs have their own boards of directors, executives, and football structures. All decisions regarding player recruitment, expenses, and strategy are made by the clubs in accordance with financial frameworks aimed at ensuring sustainability and balancing competition. This system applies to all clubs in the league.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been actively involved in Al-Nassr since his arrival and has played a key role in the development and ambitions of the team. Like any professional athlete, he strives for victories. However, no person, regardless of their status, can make decisions outside their club.

Recent actions by clubs in the transfer market clearly demonstrate this independence. One club has taken steps to strengthen its team, while another has chosen a completely different path. These decisions were made within the established financial budget.

The competition in the league speaks for itself. The point difference between the four leaders is minimal, making the title race still extremely tense. This balance confirms the effectiveness of the system functioning as intended.

The focus remains on the game — on the field, where it belongs — and on maintaining a dignified and competitive environment for players and spectators,” the Pro League representative said, according to ESPN.

Cristiano Ronaldo warned the management of the Saudi Pro League about his readiness to leave the country due to dissatisfaction with the recent transfers in the championship.

According to sources, the 41-year-old forward is unhappy with the decision of the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund (PIF) to transfer Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal while Al-Nassr's squad was not strengthened.

It is noted that Ronaldo's dissatisfaction continues to grow. The Portuguese player feels "betrayed" and is ready to end his three-year stay in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Ronaldo missed the match of the 20th round of the Pro League against Al-Riyadh (0:1).
