Outstanding cyclist Georgy Petrashov passed away at the age of 88

Georgy Georgievich Petrashov, a renowned cyclist and honored coach, passed away at the age of 88. He was not only an honored master of sports of the USSR but also an important figure in the development of cycling in Kyrgyzstan, serving as the head coach of the Kyrgyz SSR national team for 13 years. His efforts laid a solid foundation for future successes in this sport.

Even after retiring, he continued to actively participate in sports life, representing Kyrgyzstan at world championships among veterans, thus proving that for a true champion, there are no barriers. His legacy is carried on by his son, Yevgeny Petrashov, and his grandson, Denis Petrashov, who also brought glory to the country on the international stage.
